  • The Dalí Universe arrives in Campania and presents the exhibition “LUCE – I Tesori del Maestro”.
Tuesday, 2021, December 21

Dalí Universe, in collaboration with Phantasya, is proud to present the exhibition “LUCE – I Tesori del Maestro” (“LIGHT - Treasures by the Master”), from Sunday, December 19th, 2021, in the Monumental Complex SS. Trinità e Paradiso, in the city of Vico Equense, in Campania.

“In jewels, as in all my art, I create what I love”, said Salvador Dalí.

For the artist, gold was “a celebration of the soul, a sign of purity” to be symbolized in his work, as a guarantee of eternity and an opportunity to be in harmony with the Cosmos.

It will be an exhibition of international importance dedicated to the Precious of Dalí, a body of work in gold and an exquisite, unique portfolio of jeweled sculptures made from 18 karat gold and embedded with precious gemstones: diamonds, rubies, emeralds, and sapphires.

The spectacular artistic creativeness of Salvador Dalí can also be admired through the visit of the Dalí Universe fashion Collection “Dalí a la Mode”, a spectacular collection of dresses, which belongs to the Dalí Universe, designed by the most important fashion designers who reached the height of fame during the 20th century.

Dalí had a love of haute couture and through his various collaborations with fashion icons such as Coco Chanel and Schiaparelli, he created unforgettable pieces such as costumes for the ballet “Bacchanale” and the “Lobster Dress”.

For the genius of Surrealism, the symbolic meaning of a dress can be summarized in his memorable quote: “Dressing up, disguising oneself, is a way to fight the trauma, the biggest trauma of all: being born”.

In conjunction with the exhibition, the monumental-size bronze sculpture TRIUMPHANT ELEPHANT, one of Dalí’s most iconic and instantly recognizable images, has been installed in the city of Vico Equense.

The exhibition “LUCE – I Tesori del Maestro” will be open until Saturday 30th April 2022.
