This week a new museum will open in Barcelona.

The Dalí Universe is extremely proud to collaborate with the MOCO Museum in Barcelona, located at Carrer de Montcada 25, next door to the historic Pablo Picasso Museum, with an extraordinary exhibition featuring sculptures from the Dalí Universe Collection alongside iconic artworks by world famous Modern & Contemporary artists, such as, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Andy Warhol, Keith Allen Haring, Jeff Koons, Damien Hirst, Keith Haring, Banksy, KAWS, Yayoi Kusama, and many others!

The exhibition “Moco Masters Modern” will be presented by Kim & Lionel Logchies, founders of the MOCO Museum, in collaboration with The Dalí Universe.

In conjunction with the “Moco Masters Modern” exhibition, the monumental-size bronze sculpture “Woman Aflame”, which illustrates three of Dalí’s favourite motifs, a female figure with drawers, fire and crutches, forms part of a special display of iconic masterworks alongside “Marilyn Monroe” by Andy Warhol and “Braccio di Ferro” by Jean-Michel Basquiat.

“We are extremely honoured to present the Dalí Universe Collection in collaboration with the MOCO Museum in Barcelona, located in one of the most beautiful historical streets in the city”, announced the President of The Dalí Universe, Mr. Beniamino Levi.

Salvador Dalí said: “Spain has always had the honour of offering the world the highest and most violent contrasts. These contrasts in the twentieth century are incarnated in the two personalities of Pablo Picasso and your humble servant. The most important things that can happen to a contemporary painter are: 1. To be a Spaniard; 2. To be called Gala Salvador Dalí”.

“Dalí loved his native land, Spain; and had a close relationship with his Spanish colleague Pablo Picasso”, commented James Sanders of The Dalí Universe, adding: “located just next to the Pablo Picasso Museum, inside the spaces of the Historic Cervelló Palace, the MOCO Museum is the perfect place for the exhibition of iconic works by Modern Masters and rising Artists”.

The exhibition “Moco Masters Modern” will be inaugurated this Friday, October 15th, 2021.
