Galperin & Sons together with the Dalí Universe will present more than 200 artworks, amongst them bronze sculpture, graphics, Daum glass sculpture, precious cutlery, and jeweled objects; a spectrum of works from many artistic mediums, showcasing Dalí’s multifarious talents.

Two Dalí bronze monumental sculptures are installed outdoors, Triumphant Elephant and Homage to Terpsichore; the former in Zybitskaja Street, and the other in front of the museum.

The collection mainly consists of bronze sculpture, different iconic images unique to Dalí; Persistence of Memory, Space Venus and Alice in Wonderland to name just a few.

Other artworks on display are Premonition des Tiroirs, a baroque version of Dalí's anthropomorphic cabinet image, and eight Daum sculptures in pate de verre, including the surreal Venus des Tiroirs. The exhibition focuses on Dalí’s dexterity in differing mediums.

Amongst the graphics on wall displays are illustrations from the Art of Love series. Dalí created these beautiful engravings depicting lovers' encounters based on Ovid’s poem from 2 A.D.  Illustrations from the Decameron series; these sensual drawings are based on the famous fourteenth century novel by the Italian poet and writer Giovanni Boccaccio. Some say these illustrations are the most intricate and eccentric Dalí ever created.

Repeated images in the artworks are melting clocks, the female figure and surreal elephants, all part of Dalí’s iconic repertoire. Dalí worked in multiple artistic mediums, glass, bronze, collage, works on paper, jewelry, the range of his talents was astounding.

The artworks will remain in situ in the private wing of the National Art Museum reserved for International Exhibitions until the end of June 2019, when they will continue their tour of the chilly Baltic regions.

The inauguration of the exhibition will take place on Friday 15th March with Mr Beniamino Levi the President of the Dalí Universe in attendance.

Interestingly, 2019 marks the 80th anniversary of the founding of the National Museum of Art of the Republic of Belarus.

Beniamino Levi, President of the Dalí Universe, is proud to exhibit the Dalí Universe Collection at the National Art Museum of Belarus in Minsk, the first Dalí Universe exhibition in 2019, the year that marks the 30th year since Dalí’s death.
